Heard in the car on the way to school:
A: " Mattie, can you say interesting."
M: some unintelligible form of "interesting"
A: " That was a good try! But it sounds like this: in-ter-est-ing."
M: tries again, but doesn't get very close
A: "Keep trying Mattie. You're really close!"
M: "Whatever" (complete with dismissive hand gesture)
Poor Alex, he was trying SO hard to be a good big brother! :)

Ugh - I can so picture that going on in my rearview mirror as well.
Go Alex! Hang in there. Kids eventually appreciate what they are being taught ;-).

Currently Zachary is trying to teach Joey (who is 6) algebra, then gets very irritated when he doesn't get it. Poor guy.
So sweet! J also tries to teach B new words in the car, lately though it has been of the ptty-talk variety;)
Both boys are trying to teach TJ his abc's, but the only letter TJ will say is A. He just sings the entire alphabet tune with the letter A. It is so sad.
By the way, you have been TAGGED!
